PPPoE billing that renews, suspends and reconnects on its own.
Create PPPoE plans, give each customer a login, and let Subnetwave invoice them, take their M-Pesa payments and switch their internet on and off to match - with your MikroTik routers enforcing it through RADIUS.
What you get
Plans, speeds and billing cycles
Monthly, weekly or custom cycles with upload and download speeds. A plan change applies to the customer's session straight away.
Invoices and reminders
Invoices are raised on schedule and sent by SMS, WhatsApp or email, with reminders before the due date.
Paid means connected
Unpaid accounts are suspended when their access ends and reconnect automatically when M-Pesa confirms the payment.
Fair usage (FUP)
Set a data limit per plan and the speed to drop to once it's reached - customers on reduced speed are flagged so you always know who they are.
Payments matched to accounts
Customers pay your Paybill with their PPPoE username as the account number, and the payment lands on their account. Anything that can't be matched waits in Unallocated payments.
A customer app
Customers see their plan, invoices and payments, pay with an M-Pesa prompt, and report problems from their phone.
How it works
- 01
Create the plan
Name, speeds, price and billing cycle - optionally a fair usage limit.
- 02
Add the customer
Their details, PPPoE login and the router or site they connect through.
- 03
They pay
By M-Pesa prompt in the app, or to your Paybill or Till; their access is extended.
- 04
It keeps running
Next invoice, reminders, suspension and reconnection all happen without anyone pressing a button.
Questions
How do customers pay for PPPoE internet?
With M-Pesa - a payment prompt from the customer app, or a payment to your Paybill or Till. Cash, bank and cheque payments can be recorded by your team.
Does a customer get reconnected automatically after paying?
Yes. As soon as the payment is confirmed their access is extended and their PPPoE login works again.
Can I limit heavy users?
Yes, with fair usage: after a set amount of data in the billing period the customer's speed drops to the reduced speed you choose, until the next period.
Can I keep my customers' existing PPPoE logins?
Yes. When you add a customer you choose their PPPoE username and password, so they keep the login already saved on their router.
